Purpose:
Sells new and used agricultural and turf equipment to new and existing customers. May likely represent those customer segments that have a significant impact on the dealer-business but develop and maintain relationships with the dealership enterprise as their trusted advisor.Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Oversee a portfolio of assigned customers, develop new business from existing clients and actively seek new sales opportunities within the assigned territory
- Execute on individual account plans to drive productive customer contact and quoting
- May manage key customer account relationships to provide a differentiated customer experience by proactively assessing, clarifying, validating, and communicating key customer account needs on an ongoing basis
- Market “New” and re-market “Used” inventory to fill customer needs, drive competitive market share, and gross margin
- Connect all relevant areas of the Sinclair Tractor portfolio to meet sales goals, increase sales across the enterprise, and ensure customer is fully satisfied with their experience
- Demonstrate equipment and solution options and help customers grow their operation.
- Represents the company for the sale of machinery to customers in a defined sales area and/or segment of customers
- Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all equipment potentially saleable by the dealership by being an asset in the cab
- Markets used equipment, especially their own trades ins to ensure competitive level of inventory turns and mitigating aged equipment
- Monitors competitive activity/products and timely communicates to management
- Maintains all customer information in assigned territory for sales management including the CRM where customer demographics, Marketing Qualifiers and contact info is continually up to date
- Knows and follows a defined sales process
- Maintains assigned company vehicles and equipment
- Assists with the preparation and execution of customer events
- Conducts new equipment field demonstrations
- Monitors trends in customer’s business activities and timely communicates to management
- Maintains current knowledge of financing options to assist customers with securing the purchase of new and used goods
- Attends applicable sales training events/seminars
Experience, Education, Skills and Knowledge:
- 3+ years of successful sales experience selling ag equipment or working with related equipment is strongly preferred
- Knowledge of agricultural, application and turf equipment as well as farming or operational practices preferred
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Excellent customer relationship and communication skills, both written and verbal
- High School diploma or GED required
- Bachelor’s degree in business or agriculture-related field is preferred

- Travel as needed
